Getting Joggy with Emara Neymour-Jackson
We got moving with Emara — dancer, choreographer, model + actress living in LA. She shares more about her pre + post-activity rituals, her favorite ways to move her body + how Joggy has made an impact on her routine.
What was your favorite physical activity as a child?
"Growing up, I loved dance class and theater. My most joyful memories as a kid were from my time doing musical theater."
How did this translate to the ways you love to move as an adult?
"Dance carried through for me into adulthood. I love freestyle, improvisation, and pole dance. Lately, my favorite way to move is low flow on spin pole because it takes me out of survival mode. Sometimes, it can be easy to forget my "why," and pole dance is so fresh to me. I feel like a little caterpillar."

"Dancing gives me the opportunity to channel any stress or anxiety that's living physically in my body and release it."
What tools or rituals do you use to amplify your movement?
"I like to practice yoga and engage in a mat flow or meditative breath before I dance. It helps me center before entering a studio space. The Energizing Kit helps me get energy outside of caffeine or sugar, which both make my body feel jittery. I take Super Chargies to get my day started and Runner’s High before activity. They get me inspired to move when my motivation is low, along with good music and fresh air."
How do you tend to your body after a long day of dancing?
"I always try to wind down with a nice bubble bath. I use the Joy Stick afterwards to wash away any muscle tension or soreness."
